Chicago Digital Media Fund Accepting Proposals for Digital Projects to Advance Social Change

February 17, 2016

Have a great idea for a digital project that will create positive social change? The Chicago Digital Media Production Fund is accepting proposals from Chicago-based digital media artists who seek to advance social change through digital projects.

The Production Fund will award a total of $100,000 to media makers who reside in Cook County and complete their production and/or post-production in Chicago. Applicants of all ages and skill levels are invited to apply, and projects in any phase of production will be considered.

Proposed projects should be appropriate for youth (13+) and demonstrate the potential to have a powerful community impact, while maintaining quality production values and aesthetics. In addition to videos, other digital media, such as interactive apps and games, will be considered.

Applications will be accepted online until April 18, 2016. All funded projects must be made available for free online by the completion deadline of May 15, 2017, and must remain available for viewing for at least three years.

The Chicago Digital Media Production Fund is a project of Voqal Fund and is administered by Chicago Filmmakers.
