Education Venture Fund Seeks to Improve Equality in Education

November 23, 2015

Recognizing widening gaps in educational opportunity, Voqal Education supports organizations working to even the educational playing field. The Education Venture Fund will provide $50-100K to technology and media organizations addressing opportunity and achievement gaps within the U.S. educational system.

“Inequality in education leads to social and economic inequality,” said Education Fund Director David Meyer. “We’re pleased to support organizations with innovative solutions to the gaps that currently exist in order to build a brighter future for our country.”

Early-stage technology and media organizations (both non-profit and for-profit) that are looking to solve an opportunity and/or achievement gap are considered for the Education Venture Fund. In addition, candidates must:

  • Have the potential to scale nationally (cannot be location-specific)
  • Focus their work in the U.S.
  • Have, or plan to achieve, a sustainable business model

Applications for the Education Venture Fund are by invitation only. At this point in time we will not accept unsolicited applications. If you have questions, please reach out to David Meyer.
