Hollaback!, a movement to end street harassment powered by a network of local activists around the world, has gained a good deal of traction this summer in its efforts to show that street harassment is not okay.

With support from many organizations, including Voqal Fund, Hollaback! sites around the world are holding more events than ever, getting increased media attention and making real change in their communities.

Evidence of the growing media coverage, included Hollaback! deputy director Debjani Roy’s interview on Fox News The Real Story. When asked by the seemingly skeptical host Gretchen Carlson, “What do you say when someone says it’s not a big deal?,” Debjani reiterated Hollaback!’s vision: “Our motto is that everyone has the right to feel safe while walking down the street.”
