Vincent (Vinny) Badolato recently joined Voqal as the director of the Education Venture Fund.

Vinny has over 10 years of experience working with nonprofit and educational organizations. Most recently, he worked as the Merage Foundations’ Strategic Partnerships Director where he identified, cultivated and executed development and partnership opportunities for the foundations to maximize social impact in the areas of early childhood development. In addition, Vinny played a key role in strategy, policy development and political advocacy while in this position.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY — and a product of NYC public schools — Vinny earned a bachelor’s in history at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a master’s in education foundations, policy and practice at the University of Colorado-Boulder. An accomplished speaker and author, he has published numerous research reports, articles and book chapters. He is also Board Chair of New America School-Colorado, a network of public charter schools focused on equipping new immigrants, English language learners and academically underserved youth with the tools needed to achieve the American Dream.

Throughout his career, Vinny has worked with early and later stage deal flow through the corporate development and venture capital environments. He also has extensive experience reducing educational opportunity gaps through the use of new and emerging technologies. This expertise will no doubt be invaluable in continuing the work of the Education Venture Fund in its mission of reducing opportunity gaps in education by connecting early stage investors and donors with technology startups.

Welcome to the Voqal team Vinny!
