Open Positions: Mobile Citizen Business Support Specialist

Mobile Citizen is currently looking for two, full-time, temporary remote Business Support Specialists to join our dynamic, growing team.

Mobile Citizen, a Voqal project, actively advances social equity through access by providing low-cost wireless 4G internet exclusively to nonprofit organizations, educational entities, and social welfare agencies. Championed by a national collaboration of EBS (Educational Broadband Service) licensees, Mobile Citizen’s internet service is available nationwide. We believe making the internet available at an affordable price contributes to an engaged public and ultimately a more equitable democracy.

Responsibilities

The Mobile Citizen Business Support Specialist ensures customer satisfaction and excellence in service by managing customer data information, resolving account needs, and coordinating product and service operations and maintenance. Working in partnership with Mobile Citizen staff, this position works with internal and external customers to resolve technical and service-related needs for shipping and receiving, investigate issues, and provide solutions utilizing available tools and resources.

Duties may include facilitating operations by processing and handling data for bulk shipping and for the purchase and sale of devices; creating and managing reports; completing database updates; maintaining customer contact information, and other associated responsibilities. Following established policies and procedures and recommend process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness, documenting standard operating procedures, preparing reports, compiling data for analysis, investigating and resolving problems, and handling special projects.

Required Skills and Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience providing high-level customer service support, by utilizing data resources, related to operations, technology, and/or services provided.
  • Excellent spreadsheet and data skills, NetSuite experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits

These are full-time, temporary, non-benefited positions paying $34.00/hr.
