As we start 2019, we say farewell to Voqal board member, Garlin Gilchrist II who resigned from the board in December after being elected Lieutenant Governor of Michigan.

Garlin joined Voqal in 2011 and has spent the past eight years providing his valuable insight and leadership during a time of great change and growth for the organization.

“Garlin’s contributions to Voqal throughout the years have been invaluable, and, while I’m sad to see him go, I realize that his position as Lieutenant Governor will give him great opportunities to continue as a strong advocate for a more socially equitable world,” said Voqal President John Schwartz.

We sincerely thank Garlin for his many years of service to Voqal and look forward to the great things he will do for people of Michigan.
