Passionate Education Reformer Joins Voqal Team

Director to lead a new Voqal Education program

Longmont, Colo., June 25, 2015 – Voqal Education, an initiative of Voqal that aims to educate and empower the public to foster a stronger, healthier democracy, has hired a new director for its recently created Education Venture Fund. David Meyer will lead Voqal’s Education Venture Fund as it seeks to eliminate opportunity gaps in education by providing support and funding to organizations that address these important issues.

“I’m excited to welcome David to Voqal. His start-up experience and vast network are key during this time of growth and change at Voqal Education,” said John Schwartz, Voqal President.

Most recently, Meyer was the Founder and CEO of Campuscene, an Education Technology startup working to address inequalities in the college admissions process. As the CEO, David raised outside capital, led the company in revenue generation, achieved profitability and won several awards, including “Denver’s Hottest Startup” in 2013.

Meyer holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in Political Science.
