Recipients of 2014 Chicago Digital Media Production Fund Announced

Voqal Fund, a Voqal initiative, is pleased to announce that it has awarded a total of $100,000 in grants to 12 Chicago digital media artists through the Chicago Digital Media Production Fund administered by Chicago Filmmakers. This Fund provides grants to Chicago-based digital media artists creating projects aimed at advancing progressive social change and intended for online distribution.

Two examples among the varied mix of projects chosen include an interactive documentary that aims to increase understanding of mental health issues, particularly OCD, ADD, eating disorders and bipolar disorder and an interactive online archive project that challenges inequities in the juvenile justice system.

All projects are scheduled for completion and online viewing by May 15, 2015.
