Mobile Citizen introduces new partner program for digital literacy and inclusion

Low-Cost, High-Speed Mobile Internet Available to Nonprofits Closing the Digital Divide

Mobile Citizen, a provider of mobile Internet for education and nonprofits, today announced a new Digital Literacy and Inclusion Partner Program.  For nonprofits on a mission to close the digital divide, Mobile Citizen provides affordable Internet to bundle with computer equipment and training programs, bringing the Internet to underserved communities.  Powered by 4G technology, Mobile Citizen’s low-cost, high-speed mobile Internet gives nonprofits, schools, libraries and other BTOP grantees an affordable Internet option for only $120/year per account.

“We are on a mission to close the digital divide, and to do that we work with partners across the country that provide laptops and training but they are missing the connection of low cost Internet service,” said Michelle Warner, Mobile Citizen Director.  “A laptop doesn’t do you much good if you don’t have Internet.  We find partners with great training programs and we partner up with them and provide the Internet access.”

Mobile Citizen’s low cost mobile Internet service is available to nonprofit organizations in Mobile Citizen’s coverage area in over 50 cities across the country (www.mobilecitizen.org/cncoverage) including major nonprofit regions including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Seattle and Washington DC.
