Voqal Fund, a Voqal initiative, is pleased to announce that it has awarded a total of $100,000 in grants to 14 Chicago digital media artists through the Chicago Digital Media Production Fund administered by Chicago Filmmakers. This Fund provides grants to Chicago-based digital media artists creating projects aimed at advancing progressive social change and intended for online distribution.
Three examples among the diverse mix of projects include: a series of short animated infographics to improve public understanding of complex government functions and concepts; webisodes profiling opportunities for empowerment and connection in Chicago communities; and a short documentary exploring the impact on families and teachers of Chicago school closings.
